danwade's new work, emoticon riffs on the personal and emotional aspects of our daily digital expression, where we've resorted to using a series of grammatical elements to communicate how we feel to others.
emoticon explores how danwade has brought these ideograms to life by creating still, animated, print and flash versions of himself; each image is his literal interpretation of the symbol. His 'personally branded" emoticons are clever and raise interesting questions about identity, emotion and non-verbal communication.
More on danwade here.
