Tito Beveridge makes Tito's Handmade Vodka in Austin from the first and only licensed distillery in Texas. Made in small batches from 100% American corn in a pot still, each batch is distilled six times (versus an industry average of three), ensuring the cleanest, smoothest vodka you're likely to taste.
Tito's grandfather made hooch during Prohibition, and his uncle is known for his firey pepper vodka; it was only a matter of time before Tito started making alcohol himself, experimenting with beer in college and flavored vodkas as gifts for friends before deciding on micro-brewing Tito's Handmade.
Tito's has won many awards (including the Dougle Gold at the 2001 World Spirits Competition). Best of all, it's very well priced (so his friends can afford it, Tito says). It's available in most states (check the site for local distributors) and online.

Though Nick Horman has been making pickles for five years, we only recently discovered him at the Eighth Annual NYC Pickle Day a few weeks ago, depriving us of what would have been a lot of delicious pickles we could have eaten during the last few years. The New Dills were our favorite, though the nicely sweet Red Flannel chips proved to be one...
