Publishers With A Purpose by Karen Day
In honor of Blog Action Day, we're proud to announce our involvement in Publishers With A Purpose—a group of online publishers who pledge to donate 5% of their advertising inventory to select nonprofits and social causes.
The realization that as busy creatives there isn't always time to become physically involved with charitable projects, inspired Flavorpill to create Publishers With A Purpose in 2009. They've succeeded in enlisting a large group of other digital publishers to join their common goal of raising money and awareness for worthy organizations such as Electronic Frontier Foundation, Architecture for Humanity, Charity:Water and more.
For information on how to get involved, see the Publishers With A Purpose website.

Their current artist series sees monthly releases of some great t-shirts for a great...

Goods for Good: Gala for Good
Perhaps this holiday season more than ever, it's a crucial time to think of others. One of the charities getting the CH seal of approval is Goods for Good, an organization whose mission is to send excess goods from America to orphans and vulnerable children in Africa. There are a few ways to help out but if you're in NYC on 8 December 2008,...

350.org: Global Warming Animation
Author Bill McKibben, whose 1989 book "The End of Nature" was one of the first to warn us of the threats of climate change, has helped launch a 90-second animation that's put the spotlight of where we need to be if human civilization is going to survive. Once upon a time, before industrialization, before coal-fired power plants spewed carbon dioxide into the atmosphere that's...
