Cool Hunting
Letizia Rossi
Leti is a Brooklyn-based writer with a keen eye for spotting trends and an encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture. Born in Italy to Argentine parents and raised in San Francisco, she has cultivated a bi-coastal and international perspective. Her obsessions include: art about food, Andean knits, children who dress like adults, 1970s social movements, documentaries about cults, the Manson Family, the SLA and Jonestown. Her proclivity towards unique objects that combine cute with creepy, excellent design with esoteric function, high and low culture and other such paradoxical elements makes her an natural born member of Team Cool Hunting.

The pattern shown here Viva ($60 for a double roll) draws from Hulanicki's Art Nouveau influences. Graham & Brown also carries a variety of designs by several other talents. We love Olivia White's line drawings that make for...

Four Newly-Released Chris Marker Films
By Michael Talbott Every self-respecting cinephile has most certainly seen the haunting 1962 "La Jetée," Chris Marker's new-wave meets sci-fi classic of post-apocalyptic Paris time travel, but few outside film students and obsessive arthouse attendees have had opportunity to catch any of his roughly 40 documentaries. Self-described as the “Best-Known Author of Unknown Movies,” the unavailability of Marker's work has been a tragic gap...
