Karen Walker Eyewear 2009
(11 May 2009) - Sucking the seriousness from fashion, Karen Walker's 2009 eyewear, dubbed "celebrate the sun," is a playful collection of both thoroughly modern and vintage-inspired specs. The New Zealand-based designer's unpretentious attitude is a common thread in all of her designs, since they began gracing the major runways a few years ago. An astute mix of nostalgia, luxury and street, her stylized but casual clothing is...

Barton Perreira Eyewear
(17 October 2008) - Barton Perreira is a different kind of eye wear label. Unlike other luxury goods that have been getting a bad rap lately (and for good reason) the Los Angeles-based brand keeps it discreet. Now I don't know how you roll, but we don't know many people who enjoy covering themselves head-to-toe in someone else's initials. Yet for some reason designers think that diamante logos...

(26 March 2008) - No matter the conditions, the limited edition Zeal Optics Link Spherical goggles I tried out this past weekend will have you covered. New for 2008, they feature the world's first polarized and photochromatic lens. All that Glitters
(21 March 2005) - Colored contact lenses rarely ever look good. I think that's because they're a failed attempt at a natural looking change. These Dior contact lenses are totally hot because they are nothing but artificial and still offer an elegant enhancement-- the clear lens has a glittery gold flecked outline that skirts the iris. via Zink magazine ...

Field Review: Oakley Thump
(25 January 2005) - When Oakley sent me a pair of their Thump Sunglasses, I was skeptical. Sure, the concept of embedding a music player in sunglasses is great, but I had yet to see a good implementation. Overall, I found the Thumps to be pretty decent. The controls are very simple and the glasses are comfortable (though a bit over-styled for my taste). The sound quality is...
